Welcome to the USS Meridian!
The early years of the newly formed United Federation of Planets. The founding members, United Earth, Vulcan, Andor, Tellar, and Alpha Centauri lead the way for the new members: Confederated Martian Colonies, Alpha III, Vega IX, Denobula, Benzar, United Rigel Worlds and Colonies, Arken II, Orodanga and Bolarus IX who are finding their place and standing in the Federation.
The USS Meridian, a Columbia class starship, leads the way in exploration as Starfleet pushes out further among the stars to find new worlds and hopefully expand.
But all is not completely peaceful. The Klingon Empire has concerns of the Federation which they have already determined to be a major force and threat which continues to get stronger with each new world joining. There are also the threats of piracy as civilian ships continue to push out further for trade and science expeditions.
Come join the crew of the Meridian as we explore, practice diplomacy, take on old and new threats to the United Federation of Planets, including threats from within.

The last two shuttles had been on standby until they were finally given the green light by the team on the first to proceed down to the planet. Captain Hunt made it point to be on shuttle pod two, that was bringing armory officers and medical staff to the surface. In the shuttle as well was Gunnery Sergeant Lopez and two other MACOS. Ensign Douglasdale since the Meridian left Denobula to Vega IX, she had spent the last twenty-four hours getting the ships prepared to be launched. The shuttle bay was packed with various crew members from the armory, medical, engineering and science departments which loading equipment until the shuttles. Shuttle pod one would head down to the surface to get the layout of the situation on the ground, then the other two shuttles would follow.
When the Meridian had arrived in orbit an hour ago, the damage could be been seen from space. The fires that had been spreading was finally contained…

Staring out the window in the conference room, Captain Hunt thought about the current situation that awaited them on Vega. Since arriving back on board, he had been receiving updated information. And it wasn't going well at all. The only good news is that the current supplies had loaded onto the Meridian days ago. Andre stared at the ceiling as he laid in bed at the hotel. The last couple of days on Denobula had been exactly what needed to be done. Today was officially New Years Eve and he was looking forward to the party, he had been preparing for the past week.
